SSM Health Dermatology is looking for an awesome Biologics Coordinator to join our growing team!

Dermatology Employment, LLC is a rapidly growing SSM Health affiliated clinic. Our clinics offer care to patients with diseases of the hair, skin and nails. Objective:

Under direct supervision of leadership, the Biologics Coordinator will be responsible for verifying patient-eligibility, coordinating benefits, facilitating insurance coverage for each patient that has been prescribed a specialty medication.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a doctor’s office. Dermatology knowledge preferred with background in Biologics.
  • Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Job Duties:

  • Understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessments
  • Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed.
  • Complete prior authorizations as required by patients’ insurance carriers for medication management.
  • Complete all patient call backs daily.
  •  Provide patient education for prescribed biologics.
  • Injection training for eligible patients
  • Maintain biologics sample inventory.
  • Complies with all State, Federal, professional regulations as well as company and departmental rules, polices, and procedural manuals.
  • Drive to satellite clinics as assigned. 

 Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Maintenance of current Basic Life Support (BLS).
